How many alphabet sets are necessary?

Published by downtownjb at 4:25 pm under Tips and Techniques Edit This

While I like the Cricut machine, I do not see why it is necessary to have more than a couple of alphabet sets.  There are quite a few sets available, in all different shapes.  I do not see why it is necessary to have more than a couple of different Cricut alphabet sets.  I could see having a traditional alphabet set, and perhaps even a Disney alphabet set to go with the Disney characters.  Other than that, I think it is kind of a waste of money.

Alphabet sets are great for naming your scrapbook pages, but I think it is a lot of work to use in card making.  The letters can get quite small when you are cutting them for a greeting card, and they can become hard to work with.  I like to use them when naming my scrapbook pages, and cutting them with the same cartridge keeps the font uniform within the book.  I like my scrapbook pages to look clean and uniform, as if they were trying to tell a story.

How many alphabet sets do you think is enough?  Are they trying to sucker us in and get more money, or are there some great ideas for using multiple fonts?
